About Us

Meet Kimberly Cook, Owner/Founder of TMC

Kimberly Cook, originally from Newberry, SC, is a professional bassoonist performing with ensembles including the Alpharetta Symphony, Toccoa Symphony, Atlanta Musicians Orchestra, and Lawrenceville Symphony. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Middle Tennessee State University and a Master of Education from William Howard Taft University. She is currently the 2nd Bassoonist for the Alpharetta Symphony in Alpharetta, GA

Kimberly’s passion for music inspired her to create welcoming spaces where people of all ages can explore their musical talents, express themselves freely, and build supportive connections that last a lifetime. Drawing on years of study in the Montessori philosophy, her educational approach to the arts nurtures each student as an individual, fostering independence, creativity, and a genuine love of music. Through her love for music performance and education, Kimberly combines artistry with mentorship, inspiring students to reach their fullest potential and embrace the joy of music.

Our Curriculum

The "TMC Curriculum" is unlike all other music & arts programs. Embracing the Montessori philosophy, our unique curriculum focuses on individual development through literacy, singing, playing instruments, and music & movement. Our approach is set to enhance the confidence of artists to learn and be creatively expressive.

Student Artists

Our student artists have the choice of learning piano, woodwinds, strings, voice, brass, drums/percussion, and guitar. They learn to compose music, music history, and performance etiquette. They are encouraged to perform in public recitals and GFMC festivals. Our students are diverse artists of various genres and playing styles. All students receive traditional method training of their instrument(s) as they learn fun, modern tunes. Some of our students have advanced to having careers in the arts!
